Editorial Assessment
For the assessment, I'll read through your manuscript looking at content, structure, flow, and style. Then, rather than editing the manuscript directly, I'll give you a letter with in-depth feedback on the big picture and structural edits I would suggest making to strengthen your book.
Deliverable: a multi-page letter with my suggested edits including a recommended outline, titling suggestions, tips for boosting reader engagement, and suggestions for content deletions and additions.
This is great for someone who has a completed first draft of their manuscript and wants some initial feedback and direction without committing to a full-scale edit.
Developmental Edit
In this edit, I address structure, content, themes, voice, reader engagement, language use, and anything else that would help shape and strengthen your book. I'll move content around within chapters and the manuscript as a whole to improve flow. I'll delete content for readability and to reduce redundancy. Where appropriate, I will add content such as transitions or exposition that aligns with your voice and message.
Deliverable: a Word document of your manuscript with all the changes tracked as well as an editorial letter giving an overview of the major edits made and my reasoning for them.

Writing Coach
As your writing coach, I would work with you as you write your book. We'd start by talking through your idea, then I'd give you a structure and outline based on your ideas to help you get started. Then I'd edit each chapter you write to give you encouragement and guidance.

Proposal Creation
As the former editorial director at a literary agency, I can help you develop a book proposal that will catch the attention of literary agents and publishers. A book proposal is a document designed to present agents and publishers with your book concept as well as a business plan for your book that shows its potential, marketability, and salability.
Deliverable: a written and designed book proposal complete with all necessary elements that publishers look for.

Project Management
As a project manager for dozens of self-published books, I can help you through every phase of the publishing process. After performing the developmental edit, I will coordinate the copyedits, typesetting, proofreading, cover design, ISBN and LCCN registration, titling and packaging, printing, and listing your book on Amazon.
